As any parent knows, life with kids is busy but, one the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences in life. My boys were my inspiration when developing the “Little Grippers” Jumpsuit.
Brandon and Tyler are active little people, eager to explore and learn everything about the world around them, sometimes having great difficulty mastering crawling and cruising when our home has slippery cold tiles and polished timber floors throughout.
Pulling up onto furniture frequently resulted in falls from slipping ending in tears, bumps bruises and even worse loosing confidents and scared to try again… not good for a little boys ego…
My Eldest son Brandon had a hard time mastering crawling and ended up sliding around on his bottom…
These slippery floors were making life hard for him.
So I decided to think about this and help him gain some traction. I decided to cut up some bonds socks with the rubber grip on them and stick them to his jumpsuit on the knee's, tops of feet and bottom of feet. After practising a while, Brandon soon got the hang of what crawling was all about…with style and confidents he mastered his new challenge & was faster and happier than ever....I thought this was such a simple yet great idea and I started my research as to where I could buy such a product....But I only saw those bulky knee pads... I tried them and Brandon just thought they were interesting to chew and tried to pull them off as they had to be fastened with Velcro on the back of his legs (not comfortable at all) he also had red marks on the backs of his legs from the tight Velcro/wetsuit material making him hot and sticky.
When my second son Tyler was about 6 months old I popped a little Grippers jumpsuit on him and he was crawling on our tiles and wooden floors in no time...I was truly amazed at such a simple idea could give my boys so much confidents and happiness. They were no longer bored with sitting in one spot and could entertain themselves with plenty of smiles and laughs. Now Tyler could keep up with Brandon and that was amazing!
(not so much for Brandon though!!!)
